The 55-year-old musical veteran beat out chart-topping artists like Rihanna and fellow icons like Paul McCartney for the top spot on this year's list. According to Forbes, the majority of the singer's income came from the end of her MDNA Tour, which grossed $305 million.

Lady Gaga comes in second place at $80 million and Bon Jovi is close behind with $79 million. Toby Keith is the highest paid country artist this year, earning $65 million.

Justin Bieber beat out Taylor Swift, making $58 million to her $55 million. Power couple Jay Z and Beyonce both made it to the Top 20, with Queen Bey hitting no. 9 at $53 million and HOVA at no. 18 at $42 million.
